Wed, July 1, 2009 - 10:45 AMI'd love to tell you that I've been hard at work researching, etc. ... but I've been so busy promoting the book that I simply *haven't.* I need to replace buttons on my polonnaise (finish was rubbed off by the seatbelt in the car, believe it or not) and do some inspections to make sure that the wool has not been eaten by the moths that have suddenly taken up vexing residence in our home).

Those damn kids!! Max has grown a foot in the last couple of months, I swear! It will be fun to try getting him into last year's costume...but I'm going to wait until closer to time before I actually work on a new costume, in case he's still growing!! -

I am embellishing the old costume. More bits on the 'at, and adding colored yarn to my shawl; when I indulge in VH1 vegetation, I may as well get something out of the time! -

The one my Minion has now may work...but at the rate she's growing there's just as good a chance that it will not. If it doesn't, it'd fit your daughter beautifully! She'd probably be able to wear it for two years, as it's a size five. Let's talk in October or so. -

Fri, July 3, 2009 - 9:46 AMJessie, the pattern for my bodice called for sewing a ribbon inside (attached at the seams) to tie around your waist before closing the bodice to keep it from sliding up. I showed it to your parents, they can tell you what I'm talking about. -
