Are there a LOT of people portraying Otherbooks characters at Dickens that keep a slightly lower profile than, say, Scrooge? I think I saw Kate Nickelby, Pip, and Miss Haversham, plus a few others, but I was really wondering (just having seen the new BBC Little Dorrit) if there was a Monsier Rigaud/Blandois at Dickens? If so, I haven't noticed him yet. He would be a fun villain to play, wouldn't he?
(is there a thread where people post what characters they play at Dickens?)

Re: Little Dorrit and Other Books Characters on the Streets of London
Wed, May 27, 2009 - 10:47 AMThe only characters from Dorrit as of last season were Mrs. Finching, Fanny Dorrit, Mr. Sparkler and Mrs. F's Aunt.
There are about 40 to 50 members of the Other Books present on any given day.

Wed, May 27, 2009 - 4:23 PMThere IS a thread somewhere on this very page , but you'll have to thumb through all the postings... I think it was either titled , " Who Are You? " or "Who's Returning" , or " Your Character " .... I know we've done it. Try looking close to November / December 2008 postings. -

Re: Little Dorrit and Other Books Characters on the Streets of London
Wed, May 27, 2009 - 6:49 PMlol I love Mr F's Aunt. After I saw the 2008 version, I liked the story so much I am now reading the book. Same thing happened with Our Mutual Friend. Saw the film, then read the book because I like the story.
Thanks for the tip, I will look for older postings. :D -

Thu, May 28, 2009 - 8:38 AMAs a complete aside, Claire Foy (the actress in the title role for the BBC "Little Dorrit") is my colleague's niece. :-) -
